Why we made it
We made Kids Movie Player for our own son. We wanted him to have his favorite shows and dance songs without autoplay leading somewhere we didn't choose and without ads. It worked so well that we wanted other families to have it too.
Only the videos you choose. Nothing else. Ever.
A Roku app for parents who are tired of ads, "up next" rabbit holes, and strange videos showing up out of nowhere.

Free for 7 days, then a one-time $4.99. No subscription.
Your kids see your movies, your shows and your songs, and nothing else. No search bar, no suggestions, nothing to stumble into.
No commercials, no "skip in 5 seconds", no toy ads in the middle of a cartoon. Just the show.
When an episode ends, the next episode of the same show plays. It never jumps to something "recommended".
Big pictures, bright colors, and a remote that's easy to figure out. Even toddlers can find their favorite show.
The title says "Emma's Movie Player" (or whatever name you type in), so it feels like theirs.
"Keep watching" picks up right where they stopped, on every show.
Your videos stay on your own computer, on your own Wi-Fi. We don't collect anything, so there's nothing to leak.
Internet down? Videos still play, because they come from your computer, not the cloud.
About 15 minutes, start to finish. Step-by-step guide · Download the free library program for Windows
We're a small family, not a big software company, and Windows is extra careful with programs it hasn't seen many times yet. So you may see one or two warnings. That's normal for a new program:
Free, about 36 MB
SHA-256 checksum of the download: f2722b86b9a3331241297f463ae1784d8a196b66e400bd1f16c36fbaeee53155
What the program does: it looks at the video folders you choose and shares them with your Roku, only on your own Wi-Fi. It doesn't upload anything, show ads or collect information. You can uninstall it any time from Windows Settings.
